Daniel joined Timera from Imperial College London, where he worked with researchers from the Hitachi-Imperial Centre for Decarbonisation to develop statistical models estimating marginal emission factors for the Indian grid, as well as building data pipelines and analytical tooling for processing large-scale weather and electricity data.
Prior to Imperial, Daniel was the Sustainability Data Analyst at DICK’S Sporting Goods, where he helped establish the company’s in-house ESG data function. His work included developing emissions forecasts and data pipelines, and implementing software and reporting processes to support regulatory and voluntary emissions disclosures.
Daniel holds a BA in German and Computer Science from Concordia College and an MSc in Environmental Data Science and Machine Learning from Imperial College London. During his studies, he developed a load-shifting algorithm designed to reduce the emissions associated with residential electricity consumption.
Daniel works in Timera’s technical team, with responsibility for developing Timera’s in-house data, analytical and modelling capabilities and supporting client work across energy markets and assets.
