Howard Rogers has been a Senior Advisor with Timera Energy since 2013, ramping up to be 100% Timera focused since Q4 2019. Prior to Q4-19 he was also Chairman of the Natural Gas Research Programme at the Oxford Institute of Energy Studies (OIES), following almost 30 years in commercial and analytical roles at BP. Howard leads Timera Energy’s LNG & European gas market fundamental analysis, working with clients including Macquarie, JP Morgan, OMERS, IUK and Fluxys.
In his OIES role, Howard was responsible for the management, strategic direction and finances of an internationally renowned gas research programme employing a team of permanent staff and larger group of visiting Research Fellows and contributors. Prior to this, Howard spent almost 30 years in commercial and analytical roles at BP. This included Head of Fundamental Analysis, BP Global Gas (2002–2008) where he managed a Team of four analysts to provide the analytical foundation for BP’s gas business development strategy. He was a Senior Gas Negotiator (1999-2002). In addition his experience with BP included roles in upstream business development, strategy and planning in Europe, USA, Kuwait and Azerbaijan.
