Phil has more than 15 years industry experience in energy markets. He has a senior commercial background and is an expert in managing the value and risk of power assets.
Phil has worked in commercial, analytical & trading roles at Calon Energy, EDF Energy and E.ON Energy Trading. Phil has played a leading role in a number of Timera’s UK power projects for clients including Drax, Triton Energy, Covalis and Axpo.
Phil has a Masters degree in Business Economics from UMIST. Prior to this he completed an Honours degree in Economics from the University of Nottingham. He spent the earlier years of his career working as an analyst and structured trader with E.ON. He was then Head of UK Portfolio Analysis for E.ON Energy Trading before he moved to EDF where he was Head of Energy Market and Credit Risk. Before joining Timera, Phil was commercial head of Calon Energy where he had responsibility for integration and commercial strategy development for Calon’s portfolio of three UK CCGT assets.
