The scheduled 10-day maintenance period on NS1 has ended as the pipeline returns to a reduced capacity. As with before the outage, only 40% of the total capacity of NS1 is being utilised.
With the fear of the NS1 full capacity return being delayed, not returning at all or even NS1 capacity being reduced further, emergency plans are being implemented, with EU member states urged to reduce gas use by 15% between August-22 and March-23.
